Hawaii County Vehicle Registration and Licensing is warning Hawaii residents of fraudulent text messages that is attempting to steal money by claiming to be from the "Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)" that threaten to suspend vehicle registration and driving privileges.

MOBILE DRIVER LICENSE
Hawaiʻi residents can now opt to carry a digital version of their REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or state identification card on their mobile device. This convenient and secure option provides a safe way to present your ID.

Any applicants who were issued license in February 2023 are encouraged to check their license or ID to see if they have a misprinted credential.
